Questions, probably

Are my files uploaded?: No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. There's no server that receives files, so there's nothing to leak, sell or train an AI on.
Why is my GIF so big?: GIFs are an old format with no real compression for video. Keep it short (a few seconds) and 480px wide, and it stays small enough for any chat.
How long can it be?: Up to 30 seconds. Longer than that, a GIF gets huge; a short video clip is the better choice then.
