Questions, probably

Are my files uploaded?: No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device. There's no server that receives files, so there's nothing to leak, sell or train an AI on.
How much smaller will it get?: PDFs full of photos or scans often shrink by 70 to 95%. A PDF that's mostly text is already small, so there's less to win.
It barely shrank. Now what?: Try Strong, or turn the pages into images. That shrinks scans the most, but the text can't be selected any more.
